Attorney Biography

Daniel G. Skrip is a skilled litigator with decades of experience. He assists PDP in its municipal law department.  This is Dan’s second tour with PD&P.  From 1999 to 2013, Dan worked at PDP defending municipalities and their employees in federal and state courts and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.  For seven of those years, Dan was a Partner.

On many occasions during his 14 years with PDP, Dan was recognized as one of Massachusetts’s “Rising Stars” in the field of municipal defense by the publishers of LAW & POLITICS and Boston Magazine.  Since departing PDP, Dan earned a pilot’s certificate and then his certified instructor’s certificate before spending two years as a certified flight instructor at Horizon Aviation at the Norwood Municipal Airport. He is instrument-rated and licensed to operate multi-engine aircraft.  Since 2016, Dan has been town counsel for the Town of Nahant, the Commonwealth’s smallest municipality.

Dan earned a pre-law degree from Pennsylvania State University in 1991 where he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa academic fraternity and the football team. For the 1991-1992 season, he was awarded the Athletic-Academic Achievement Award. He graduated from Boston College Law School in 1995.

Dan is an alumnus of the National Ski Patrol (Wachusett Mountain) and serves as legal counsel for NSP’s local region.  He also coached Pop Warner football for many years in Newton.
